BSSC Office Assistant Recruitment 2025 For 5208 Posts
Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced a bumper recruitment drive for 5,208 vacancies across Bihar. The recruitment includes 3,727 Office Assistant (Karyalaya Parichari) posts and 1,481 posts under the 4th Graduate Level (CGL) examination. This is a major opportunity for both 10th pass and graduate candidates seeking government jobs in the state. Women candidates will benefit from 35% reservation. Education
- Office Assistant: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent.
- CGL Posts: Candidates must hold a Graduate degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Salary
Pay will be provided as per Bihar Government norms under the respective pay scales mentioned in the official notification.
Age Limit
As on 01/08/2025:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 37 years (Unreserved Male)
Relaxations: - Women (General/BC/EBC): +3 years
- SC/ST: +5 years

Selection Process
- Office Assistant (Karyalaya Parichari): Prelims & Mains Examination
- Prelims: 2 hours, 100 objective questions
- General Mathematics: 30 marks
- General Knowledge: 40 marks
- Hindi: 30 marks
- Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct answer, -1 for wrong answer
- Prelims: 2 hours, 100 objective questions
- CGL Posts: Separate selection process as per CGL recruitment rules (details in CGL notification).
