BSSC Recruitment 2025 For 5 Junior Statistical Assistants

Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced recruitment for 5 Junior Statistical Assistant (JSA) posts under Advertisement No. 05/2025 through the 4th Graduate Level Competitive Examination. This post is meant for graduates in specialized subjects such as Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, or Statistics. Eligible candidates can apply online from 18th August 2025 to 19th September 2025 through the official BSSC portal.

BSSC JSA Vacancy Details

Education

Applicants must hold a graduate degree in one of the following subjects:

• Mathematics
• Economics
• Commerce
• Statistics

Salary

• Pay Level 7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 per month
• Plus allowances as per Bihar Government rules

Age Limit

As on 01/08/2025:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 37 years (UR Male)
• Relaxations: OBC/EBC & Women (40 years), SC/ST (42 years), PwD (+10 years)

Application Fee

• UR/BC/EBC & Outside Bihar (Male/Female): ₹540
• SC/ST (Bihar Residents), Women (Bihar Residents), Disabled: ₹135
  Payment must be made online (BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card).

Selection Process

• Preliminary Exam: Objective type, 150 questions (600 marks), with negative marking (-1 per wrong answer)
• Mains Exam:
  • Paper 1: Hindi (400 marks; 30% qualifying)
  • Paper 2: General Studies, General Science & Maths, Reasoning (600 marks)
