BSSC Recruitment 2025 For 88 Planning Assistant Posts

Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has invited applications for 88 Planning Assistant posts under Advertisement No. 05/2025 through the 4th Graduate Level Joint Competitive Examination. Out of the total vacancies, 30 posts are reserved for women candidates. This recruitment offers graduates in any discipline the opportunity to work in planning-related departments of the Bihar Government. Applications can be submitted online between 18th August 2025 and 19th September 2025.

BSSC Planning Assistant Vacancy Details

Education

Applicants must possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. No specific subject specialization is required.

Salary

• Pay Level 7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 per month
• Other allowances as per Bihar Government rules

Age Limit

As on 01/08/2025:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 37 years (UR Male)
• Relaxations: OBC/EBC & Women (40 years), SC/ST (42 years), PwD (+10 years)

Application Fee

• UR/BC/EBC & Outside Bihar (Male/Female): ₹540
• SC/ST (Bihar Residents), Women (Bihar Residents), Disabled: ₹135
  Payment can be made via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit Card.

Selection Process

• Preliminary Exam: Objective type, 150 questions (600 marks), negative marking (-1 for each wrong answer)
• Mains Exam:
  • Paper 1: Hindi (400 marks; 30% qualifying)
  • Paper 2: General Studies, General Science & Maths, Reasoning (600 marks)
