BSSC Recruitment 2025 For Data Entry Operator Post

Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced recruitment for 1 Data Entry Operator (DEO) post under Advertisement No. 05/2025 through the 4th Graduate Level Examination. This role is designed for graduates with IT or computer application qualifications such as PGDCA, BCA, or BSc (IT). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online between 18th August 2025 and 19th September 2025.

BSSC DEO Vacancy Details

Education

Candidates must hold a graduate degree along with one of the following:

• Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA)
• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
• BSc in Information Technology (IT)
• Equivalent qualification in computer applications

Salary

• Pay Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 per month
• Plus allowances as per Bihar Government service rules

Age Limit

As on 01/08/2025:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 37 years (UR Male)
• Relaxations: OBC/EBC & Women (40 years), SC/ST (42 years), PwD (+10 years)

Application Fee

• UR/BC/EBC & Outside Bihar (Male/Female): ₹540
• SC/ST (Bihar Residents), Women (Bihar Residents), Disabled: ₹135
  Payment can be made online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit Card.

Selection Process

• Preliminary Exam: 150 questions, 600 marks, objective type, with -1 mark penalty for wrong answers
• Mains Exam:
  • Paper 1: Hindi (400 marks; 30% qualifying)
  • Paper 2: General Studies, General Science & Maths, Reasoning (600 marks)
• Document Verification
